Computer Question and advice.

okay so usually i would just ask Will what do i need in a new laptop...obviously that is not an option. i dont trust the HP people cause they are just wanting to make a big sale. I start classes for my Masters on Sept. 12 and I got a little piddly $500 scholarship to be used for "technology fee" or towards a computer thru CDW, apparently they sell cheap computers.
Anyways. I jsut want a computer I can surf the web wirelessly with using my verizon blue tooth connection, watch/create dvd's possibly download short vids to make dvd's, and burn dvds.oh and did i mention do a little school work on lol
i know its alot of work to be putting on a laptop. but my work laptop does it all, and moves superfast. i love it, but cant really use it like i want to cause its a work comp. it is an HP. so i was thinking of getting this HP, but i know is cheap, so i am wondering if it will be really slow, or not worth the money.

I just dont want to waste my $500 from the school, i either use it or lose it. i cant afford to put any with it to get a better one right now, but i can probably upgrade it later cant I?

I just have no clue what to look for in a computer. I have tried to research, but I just cant process anything I have been reading these days. So any advice would be appreciated!

If you want DVD abilities go for the pretty pink! Not much difference other than that and the version of Vista is premium as opposed to home.

yea i really like that one. i just hope I can upgrade later if needed...although I dont even know what I would "upgrade" to lol
